Dan Mirandi has been providing counseling services for almost 10 years. Dan has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Quinnipiac University and a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from Southern Connecticut State University. Dan is currently a licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut and is also a National Certified Counselor.
He began his training as a group facilitator at The Consultation Center in New Haven and then later provided individual counseling at The Dixwell/Newhallville Clinic in New Haven. For the past seven years Dan Mirandi has been a clinician at Bridges: Young Adult Services located in West Haven CT. During this time he has provided individual and family counseling for young men and women ages 18-30. Additionally, Dan has supervised and taught a number of interns from local universities and has presented on a number of therapeutic topics pertaining to his practice.
Working in the non-profit sector has afforded Dan a rich experience in helping a number of people with a variety of challenges. His experience includes treating Clinical Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse, Grief, and poor self-esteem. Dan uses a variety of therapeutic techniques which include Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
